Dynatek Dyna Dual Tower Ignition Coils | 12V | 5 OHM | Black
Dynatek Dyna Dual Tower Ignition Coils are designed to be utilized in bespoke 12-volt applications, where two of these coils are used for bikes that have dual plug head (a total of four spark plugs) and are powered by a single fire point ignition system.
Note: In order to reach the necessary 12V voltage and 5 ohm primary resistance, coils, each of which is 6V and 2.5 ohm in size, must be linked in series.
Specifications:
The distinction between Single and Dual Fire is as follows:
Dual Fire: This refers to the operation of the older, non-Twin Cam engines. There is only one coil used, and both spark plugs burn at the same time. The most basic system is this one. It's sometimes said that the 'wasted' spark represents horsepower robbing.
Single Fire: The factory 00-up Twin Cam engines operate in a single-fire mode. The only spark plug of the cylinder that is on the compression stroke will be the only one to light thanks to two independent coils. These engines are supposed to tremble less and have more power. The effects increase in intensity with greater RPM and hotter cams.
Compatibility: For points/Dyna-S ignition (excluding Twin Cam & other single fire applications) in custom applications. (Custom single fire, carbureted models)
Note: It is recommended to use ignition modules & coils from the same manufacturer. Intermixing different brands may cause premature failure.
